Slough crashed out of the Berks & Bucks Cups to their old conference foes Wycombe at Adams Park on Tuesday night. A strong Wycombe team ran out comfortable winners in the end with a three goal margin.

Wycombe started strongly and had chances in the opening minutes as Gary Bunting shot wide before Ikechi Anya saw his effort blocked by the Slough defence.

Miller saw two efforts of his own blocked before the home side opened the scoring with twenty one minutes gone. Ian Stonebridge expertly converted a free kick across the goal into the far corner from just outiside the box.

Slough had the next chances of the game as they looked to get back on level terms. Carbon made good progress down the right and was fouled. Haddow's resulting free kick was deflected out for a corner which Daly saw his headed effort cleared.

Wycombe went further in front after thirty one minutes when Anya, who had looked dangerous throughout for the hosts, converted from just inside the area.

Slough nearly pulled one back through Miller, but the strikers headed effort was parried away across the goalmouth before it was cleared.

Allaway had to be at his best to keep out a curling shot and then shortly before half time Martin saw an effort bounce back off the post as the home side finished the half strongly.

Slough introduced Hakki to the line up for the start of the second half in place of Seedel, but Wycombe continued their dominance and controlled the majority of the half. Slough continued to make changes, Steer replacing Daly who had picked up an injury and Mason for Miller, but the momentum never shifted from the Chairboys.

Allaway again had to save low to his left to prevent Wycombe furthering their lead and they again hit the post but could do little to keep out a Russell Martin penalty in the final minute as the hosts deservedly added to their tally.
