SLOUGH Town Football Club were knocked out of the FA Trophy last night after 208 minutes of action against Hillingdon Borough.

The crucial blow came with just two minutes left on the clock after the replay was forced into extra-time.

With both sides gearing up for penalty shots and the score at 1-1, player-manager Darron Wilkinson put his goalkeeper into all sorts of trouble with a back-pass.

Hillingdon's Dave Lawrence closed down the clearance and Leon Nelson stole in to place the rebound into an empty net.

It was an agonising way to lose a match that Wilkinson's side began extremely brightly.

For 20 minutes the Rebels played some of the best football they have played all season. They were using the full width of the pitch and getting balls into the box from wide areas using their pacey wingers.

Early chances fell to Lee Charles and Stanley Mugisha before Terry Davies opened the scoring after 11 minutes.

However, they allowed Hillingdon back into the game and Sam Byfield equalised early into the second half.

A long stalemate followed with Slough eventually making the decisive mistake.
