Slough suffered a setback in their preparations for the new season with a heavy defeat at Ryman Premier side Wealdstone.
The Rebels, who faced Hayes & Yeading just 24 hours earlier, were dominated from start to finish against a Stones side which looks set to impress this season, a game which joint-manager Neil Baker described as a 'bad day at the office'.
Twenty minutes in, Spanish trialist Luis Carlos played the experienced Scott McGleish in, and he finished high beyond James Hawtree.
Two minutes later, Hawtree was exposed again as Chris Moore made space to lob him after Slough had again lost the midfield battle.
Both sides made numerous changes at the half time interval, but Stones continued to dominate and scored a third on the break. Hawtree failed to hold a shot from Stefan Bailey and Peter Dean made sure on the rebound.
Dean scored again to make it 4-0, again capitalising on a parried shot, this time from Jey Silva.
Wealdstone carved open the beleaguered Rebels side again as Lewis Putman teed up Bailey to score with ease, and later Putman himself got on the scoresheet with a fierce left footed strike.
