A first-half strike from outside the area by Hendon's Danny Dyer was enough to defeat the Rebels in the final of the Hillingdon tournament.
The Rebels welcomed back Robbie Kean, Steve Sinclair and Chris Herron after last nights victory but were still without the injured Ian Brown, Paul Edgeworth, Yashwa Romeo, Jon Stevenson, Graeme Edwards, Ryan Fenton, Jamie Jackson and Steve Jackman.
It was the Rebels higher division opponents - managed by Ex Rebels Gary McCann and assistant Freddie Hyatt who looked the brighter of the two sides early on. They took the lead when a strike from outside the area by Dyer flew past Jemal De Richmond into the net.
Slough threatened to level though when a neat move involving Danny Murphy, Danny Jordan and Chris Herron saw the latter produce a shot that was well saved at the near post by Berkley Lawrencin.
In the second-half Hendon could have added to their lead, but some last ditch Rebels defending kept Slough in the match.
They could, and maybe should have taken the game to penalties when a swift break involving Matthew Platt and Steve Sinclair lead to trialist Tyron Daly seeing his first effort blocked by a Hendon defender, and his second effort hit well over the crossbar.
Rebels: De Richmond, Sweeney, Murphy, Harper, Smith (Hicks), Steve Sinclair, Kean, Jordan, Herron (Daly), Dean Sinclair (Platt), Gumbs (Turner).
Hendon: Lawrencin, Dyer, Baptiste, Kirby, Parker, Berry, Guentchev, Busby, Garner(Haule), Hunt (Hamada), Mukunku (Dean)
