Maidenhead United 3-2 Slough Town

Mark Betts' Slough Town U18s were defeated at Maidenhead after the Magpies put up a strong second-half showing in front of around 125 spectators.

Slough played their best football in the first half, and found themselves 2-0 up at the interval.

But the hosts came out all guns blazing after the break, and within ten minutes of the restart had brought the scores level.

Slough seemed to be coming back into the game and the play ebbed and flowed. The unfortunate Slough goalkeeper played superbly throughout, but was beaten by a close-range effort which slipped between him and the goalpost, which proved to be the winning goal.
