Slough Town left it late, but two goals in the final five minutes turned the game around against Biggleswade Town who themselves are pushing hard to consolidate a play off position in the Evo Stick Southern League Division One Central.
The visitors had much the better of the opening eighty minutes and despite a few close chances in the opening half, they did not break the deadlock until the 49th minute through Brett Donnelly after the Waders had made progress down the right wing and put the ball into the back post.
However, with five minutes remaining, Jerome Anderson broke down the right and crossed for Murphy to volley home. Seven minutes later, in injury time at the end of the game, Slough threw on Lloyd Owusu, making his final appearance for the club before heading to Australia, and this caused some confusion in the visiting defence. Anderson, again involved, saw a shot blocked and the ball fell to Abbey just inside the area who needed no second opportunity to slam the ball home.
