Hat-trick for Burnell in Rebels rout - Highlights

Slough Town returned to winning ways in comprehensive fashion as they hit six against Ashford to set them up with a great result ahead of the FA Cup replay with Mansfield Town. Preceeding the game was an impeccably observed silence for Rememberance Day.

Ollie Burgess got an early strike and Burnell converted a penalty at the end of the half to put the Rebels in front, but they had also cleared two off the line during the first half as teh Ash Trees could have gone in level.

The second half saw Burnell extend the Rebels lead, despite much protestation from the visiting side, before former Rebel Chris Robinson was dismissed for a strong tackle on Danny Murphy.

Burnell completed his hat trick and then Swift, with a deflected effort and Ed Smith completed the scoring for the home side. Brown scored a late consolation for Ashford, again despite protests from the home defence.
