Preview: Underwood looks ahead to Truro trip

An update from Jon Underwood as Slough prepare to make their longest trip of the season.

26/04/19

We look forward to the longest trip of the season tomorrow as we make our way down to Truro for what is a huge game for both clubs.

Our hopes for a playoff spot rely on Billericay losing and St Albans, Wealdstone and Dartford all not winning, as well as us winning obviously and at the same time turning around a three-goal deficit on Billericay. A tall order we know, but while it is still possible we will do all we can to do our job and finish on a high. We have to pick a side to be positive and attack and as our opponents also have to win the game to stand any chance of staying up it should make for an entertaining game!

We have agreed that Simon Dunn will not travel - having just become a dad for the first time, he will spend the weekend at home with his family. His place in the squad will be taken by Ben Harris, who trained fully for the first time last night and will be named on the bench but it remains to be seen as to whether we decide to use him.

Just to remind our supporters who are travelling down, the managers would like to buy each of you a drink in the bar after the game to thank you for your incredible support on the road this season. Whatever happens between 3pm and 5pm, it will be a great pleasure for us to reflect on a hugely enjoyable season with you after the game.

Squad: Jack Turner, Josh Jackman, Sean Fraser, George Wells, Guy Hollis, Mark Nisbet, Sam Togwell, Lee Togwell, Billy Clifford, Matt Lench, Warren Harris, Louie Soares, Manny Williams, Francis Amartey, Dan Roberts, Ben Harris.
