The U14 boys headed over to Chinnor for their first tournament. A strong finish in their group saw them take on the winners of group A in the quarter final. They put up a real battling performance but unfortunately lost one nil. It was a lively afternoon, and we thank Chinnor Youth FC for their excellent organisation.
The second cup final of the day saw the U12 girls finish as runners-up. They faced a team unbeaten all season. Slough put in a good all-round performance and were unlucky, but that’s football. We are so proud of this bunch, having finished third in the league and reaching a cup final in their first season.
Before that, the U10 girls were runners-up in the BCGFL Spring Trophy. It wasn’t quite their day, but they have had a fantastic first season – well done girls. We are really proud of you all and it was so lovely to see you all stay to support the U12s in their final too.
Meanwhile, the new U10 boys team had their first outing, and walked away with medals – well done boys!
Another one of our new teams, Slough Town Ladies made their first appearance on Sunday and competed in the Thatcham tournament. Ultimately they were knocked out at the quarter-final stage on penalties, but it was still a great start for the team.
