Slough Town Ladies won their first piece of silverware at the Abbey Rangers tournament yesterday.
The group stage was a very tight affair with Slough drawing the majority of the games and only losing one.
This placed us into the quarter-final against Abbey Rangers All-Stars. Slough dominated the game from the start and ended up winning 2-0 with both goals from Nic Sandhu.
The semi-final was against Milford & Witley. In a close game, Lucy Passfield scored halfway through and we held on to book our place in the final.
The final was against the tournament hosts Abbey Rangers. The game was end-to-end but neither team could find the net, and the game finished 0-0 with penalties deciding the game.
Abbey scored their first, with Slough missing theirs. But Abbey then missed their next two and Slough scored both, with the Rebels going on to win the tournament!
