League sponsors Vanarama have been busy assessing the season so far - and what’s to come!
So what have the first four games given us…
It’s been a tale of fine margins. Three defeats, all by a single goal, but much better on Tuesday night against Weymouth. A point only maybe, but something to build on and a step in the right direction against a strong starter.
What the gaffers think...
The Rebels managers weren’t best pleased after Saturday’s loss at Concord. As Neil Baker said himself, it’s been a tough start but the team are finally up and running. It’s all about pushing on now.
Biggest result so far...
Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with Weymouth stemmed the flow of those three early season losses. Injuries have hit, but Slough are off the mark after a first ten days to forget.
Top performer…
Dan Roberts was great on his first appearance on Tuesday, while Lee Togwell have given the team a lift. Now for that first win!
Stat attack...
League position: 21st
Home goals for: 1
Away goals for: 1
Home goals against: 2
Away goals against: 3
Next up…
It’s a tough trip to Maidstone United. One of the pre-season title tips.
Their one to watch….
Sam Corne is a very talented midfielder with an eye for goal. Stylish Clovis Kamdjo keeps the Stones ticking over.
What can fans expect?
With just one win between the two sides so far, those going will get a match which will surely see both sides desperate to make their mark. John Still’s team haven’t won at home yet, and with big crowds they’ll know that needs to change before long.
League sponsors Vanarama have recently launched the National League Club Reward scheme to help fans back their club’s budget. Every time a fan takes out a brand new van lease with Vanarama or a brand new car lease with Motorama their club will earn £100 and you will receive £30 cashback!
