Boxing Day represents one of our biggest challenges to date this season (and in many a year) with a home game and a 1pm kick off against league leaders Wealdstone, in what we hope will be one of our biggest crowds of the season, writes Neil Baker.
Wealdstone have had a brilliant season to date, and come into the game as firm favourites to win the championship, however a brilliant run of form from ourselves means we enter this game in second place 7 points behind them.
Obviously there is a long way to go this season and will be many twists and turns, however a good Christmas from either side will go some way to what I am sure would have been pre-season objectives of getting into the playoffs.
Having not had a competitive game for 19 days we come in to the game in pretty good shape. We will be missing Josh Jackman, who is unfortunately in Cornwall for the Christmas period and will return for the 28th - however outside of that everyone is fit and available.
Aaron Kuhl will continue getting minutes for Basingstoke Town, although Hartley Wintney have also approached both ourselves and Basingstoke to get minutes with them, however we will leave this with Aaron to decide what is best for him.
Joe Grant also continues with Hartley Wintney, however Guy Hollis is back from his work trip to China, and therefore we will pick from the following 16-man squad:
Jack Turner, Sean Fraser, George Wells, Guy Hollis, Ryan Bird, Mark Nisbet, Sam Togwell, Lee Togwell, Scott Davies, Matthew Lench, Warren Harris, Max Worsfold, Manny Williams, Francis Amartey, Dan Roberts and Ben Harris.
