Rebels Rewind: Slough Town v Wycombe Wanderers (1993)

Our latest Rebels Rewind is a blast from the past against old foes Wycombe Wanderers in front of a sold-out Wexham Park.

26/06/20

Our latest Rebels Rewind is a blast from the past - our April 1993 meeting with old foes Wycombe Wanderers in the GM Vauxhall Conference.

A crowd of 4,500 packed in to Wexham Park to watch the local derby, with the Blues edging closer to the title and the second-placed Rebels hoping for three points which would keep them in with a chance. Going in to the game, Wycombe led the league by six points with three games in hand over Slough, and the Rebels were keen to avenge a 1-0 defeat at Adams Park the previous month.

Starting at 3pm this Saturday, we will show the entire match on our YouTube channel. The link to watch the match is here: Rebels Rewind: Slough Town v Wycombe Wanderers

We would like to thank former Slough Town player Ian Hazel for providing the footage - look out for a magic moment from the midfielder in the second half! Our thanks again also go to FCVideo for editing and publishing the footage.
