After the success of our U23 team last season, we are delighted to confirm the addition of an U19 team which will compete in The National League U19 Alliance.
The Slough Town U19 team will be run by Academy23 and will play in a regional league in season 2021/22, with a view to applying to play in National League Football Academy South in future.
Matches in The National League U19 Alliance will begin in September and will be played on Wednesday afternoons, with the kick-off time usually at 2pm.
First team joint manager Neil Baker commented:
“We are delighted with the addition of the U19 squad. The U23 team has been a breath of fresh air for the club and we would like to work even closer with Academy23 in giving lads opportunities.
“I don’t think either myself or Jon could have hoped the U23s would be as successful as they have been in such a short turnaround time, and having seen first hand how professionally it is run and the level of coaching they get, any young lad should seriously be thinking about trying to join.”
