Tomorrow we enter our penultimate pre-season game before the real stuff starts next Saturday, writes Neil Baker.
On paper this is our toughest test to date, against National League Premier team Aldershot Town.
Whilst we are getting closer to that start point, we still have a plan for giving players minutes based on availability, injuries etc., and it is not just about us putting out what we may perceive to be our strongest team.
In terms of tomorrow, we have Lee Togwell and Guy Hollis both unavailable, Warren Harris is out longer term and is awaiting a scan on his knee, plus Scott Davies rolled his ankle last week and is not quite 100 per cent, but may still take a place on the bench.
George Hunt has been unavailable this week due to being ill, and we have taken a cautious approach to this, however he is feeling better now and had a negative PCR COVID-19 test result today so should hopefully feature.
We will therefore go with a 17-man squad as follows:
Jonathan North, Josh Jackman, Sean Fraser, Freddie Grant, Gabe George, Ryan Bird, Mark Nisbet, Max Worsfold, Joseph Lawal, Paul Hodges, Matthew Lench, Aaron Kuhl, Scott Davies, George Hunt, Eitel Goueth, Tom Derry and Ben Harris.
