Tomorrow we begin our 2021/2022 Emirates FA Cup campaign with a home tie against Whitehawk, writes Neil Baker.
Like any game we play in this competition, levels and form go out the window and we know that we will have to play well to progress.
In terms of team news, Lee Togwell is unavailable due to a wedding, and we will now be missing long term absentee Ryan Bird. However we are hopeful that Warren Harris will resume some training the week after next.
Gabe George trained last night after an ankle injury and will play a part in the U23s game tonight.
We have had some illness in the camp this week, with a few that have not been able to train all week, however these are for non-COVID reasons, and we hope they will all be fine for tomorrow.
We will include a few of the U23s who play tonight as we are allowed to name seven on the bench, and will therefore pick from the following 18-man squad:
Jonathan North, George Rose, Josh Jackman, Sean Fraser, Freddie Grant, Gabe George, Guy Hollis, Mark Nisbet, Lewis Pegg, Matthew Lench, Aaron Kuhl, Scott Davies, George Hunt, Max Worsfold, Joe Lawal, Eitel Goueth, Tom Derry and Ben Harris.
