After a very entertaining and competitive first friendly on Tuesday against Eastleigh, we look forward to welcoming another strong National League side to Arbour Park with the visit of Sutton United.
We purposefully chose these two fixtures (plus Bournemouth U23s next Tuesday) to give ourselves a tough examination at the start of pre-season as opposed to playing sides from a much lower level where we might not learn as much. We took many positives from Tuesday night, as well as some key learning points, and it will no doubt be more of the same tomorrow.
We will be without Sam Togwell, Warren Harris and Matt Briggs who are unavailable, but will all return to the squad on Tuesday night. Josh Jackman continues to step up his training but will not be involved.
Simon Dunn returns from illness and we may have one other trialist to take a look at. Unfortunately another trialist, Adam Richards broke his toe on Tuesday night and will be out for 6 weeks.
Squad: Jack Turner, Sean Fraser, George Wells, Guy Hollis, Mark Nisbet, Lee Togwell, Matt Lench, Simon Dunn, Max Worsfold, Joe Grant, Manny Williams, Ryan Bird, Ben Harris, Francis Amartey, Dan Roberts.
