Slough Town Football Club is pleased to be working with Slough Homeless Our Concern (SHOC) and will be holding a collection of clothing items at our home match against Taunton Town on Saturday 6 January.

We will accept unwanted items of clothing which SHOC will distribute around the town. There are currently several hundred people in Slough who are either homeless or in temporary accommodation and the need for clothes in the winter months is ever growing.

If you have any clothes - no matter what size, gender or style - that you no longer require then please bring them to the game where a representative of SHOC will take your donations. Clothes should be in a good condition and washed. Jumpers, t-shirts, coats, jeans, trousers, tracksuit bottoms and shoes of all sizes can be donated but socks and underpants must be new.

Some supporters will know that one of our volunteer bar staff, Stuart Adnitt works for SHOC. He commented: “The number of homeless and those in temporary shelter keeps on increasing and we are seeing over 50 people per day come into our various day centres. Whatever you can spare will go directly to those in need so please donate what you can”.
