It is with regret that following a 7-day approach from Wealdstone, Matthew Lench has decided to take the opportunity to step up a level and rejoin the club he had previously left, writes Neil Baker.
‘Lenchy’ has been upfront throughout his time with us about his desire to play in the National League Premier, and for that reason he goes with our blessing.
He goes off the back of an excellent season last year, and we hope that he can make a positive impact at the higher level.
Obviously it is not ideal timing with a number of games in quick succession over the Christmas period - however with Max Worsfold, Ben Harris, Cam McGilp and Mark Nisbet all coming back to fitness and hopefully available for this period, we will be well covered in terms of personnel.
We wish Lenchy well and will welcome him and his parents back fondly to Arbour Park when we are able to do so.
