We can confirm that following an approach from Leatherhead, Max Worsfold will be joining them on a permanent basis, writes Neil Baker.
They are obviously doing all they can to save their status at Step 3, and we are not willing to compete with the financial offer on the table for Max.
Max has been an excellent player for us since he joined us from Maidenhead United, and his attitude has been first class since. We are always disappointed to lose someone like Max, however with the slightly narrow formation we have been playing of late, he has probably not had as much football as he would want either.
We thank him for his time at the club and wish him the best of luck going forward.
