We are pleased to confirm the signing of forward Tom McElroy following a successful trial.
The former Aylesbury United and Hanwell Town player scored three goals in his last two pre-season matches, against Banbury United and Bracknell Town.
Manager Scott Davies commented:
“I’m really pleased to announce that we have signed Tom. He’s someone I’ve known about for a while so I’m delighted to be able to work with him from now on.
“In the previous two games, I think he’s shown what he’s capable of and will add another dimension to our front line. He’s young, hungry and got the drive to succeed which is something we look for when recruiting players to join the club.
“He’s more than earned a deal with three goals in the last two games and hopefully he can continue in that rich vein of form. We know as a team last season that we didn’t score enough goals to be where we wanted in the league, so it’s something we’ve tried to address by adding goals from all areas of the pitch.”
