We can confirm that Elliot Benyon has departed the club ahead of the start of the National League South season this Saturday.
Scott Davies had the following to say on Elliot’s departure:
“Yella and I had a really difficult conversation with Elliot and the outcome was that we decided it was best for him to move on.
“Elliot has been nothing short of brilliant since I took over in November; his attitude has been superb and the support he’s given to the group and me will be something that I’m hugely grateful for.
“He was so important in the run-in at the back end of last season and we certainly won’t forget what he gave us in that time. I know he’s agreed to sign for a team in the league below after having a few options on the table, which is good news for him and his family to be able to sort it so quickly.
“Thanks for everything Ells. It’s been a pleasure.”
