We are delighted to announce the return of striker George Alexander on loan from Bromley until Monday 1st January 2024.

The 22-year-old joined the Rebels on loan in March last season and played a big part in helping Scott Davies’ side maintain their National League South status, scoring six goals in his seven appearances including a stunning display of finishing against Chippenham Town, grabbing four in a 6-1 win.

Before that, he spent time on loan at Welling United, scoring four goals in 11 appearances for the ‘Wings’, including a hat-trick against the Rebels at Arbour Park.

George is available for selection in our opening home match of the National League South season tomorrow against Dover Athletic.

Manager Scott Davies had the following to say after securing George’s signature:

“It was only yesterday I heard that there was a possibility of George going out on loan and knew straight away that I wanted to get it done.

“George was obviously a fans’ favourite in his short stint with us last season for the way in which he played, full of high energy but also showing moments of brilliance with some of his finishing.

“He made me aware that he wanted to come back to the club ahead of other options in the National League South, and that for me speaks volumes about the type of person we are getting. He’s hungry to do well and wants to play football, and I know that if he performs to the levels that we know he can then he will be massive for us over the next four-and-a-half months.

“With George coming in, it certainly leaves us with some decisions to make with the numbers we have within the squad, but we couldn’t turn down the opportunity to bring someone of his quality in.”
