Matt Riches joins as non-executive director

We are delighted to welcome Matt Riches, who joins the club in a non-executive director role.

We are delighted to announce that Matt Riches will be joining the club in a non-executive director role.

Based in Farnham Common, Matt is a brand marketing and commercial sport leader with a strong network and proven record of driving vision, growth, innovation and strategy. His experience will prove invaluable in helping the club connect with new networks and make new partnerships.

Matt started his career at Norwich City Football Club before moving to a number of strategic marketing and commercial partnerships roles supporting global brands and sports whilst at three of the world’s largest communication networks; WPP, Dentsu Aegis Network and Chime Sports Marketing. He subsequently became Commercial Director EMEA for the start-up Tough Mudder with responsibility for delivering revenue growth. He currently leads sports marketing and sponsorship for Suntory-owned Lucozade and their investment portfolio of major sports and athletes.

Matt commented: “It’s been brilliant getting to know the board and spending more time at my local football club. I’ve been fortunate to work in the business of football for a long time across clubs, players and sponsors but foremost I’m a massive sport and football fan. The role football can play in communities on and off the pitch should never be underestimated and I look forward to best supporting the board.”
