Post-season update

An update from the club with the National League South season set to conclude today.

06/05/24

With the start of pre-season training still almost two months away, discussions are well underway with members of our current playing squad, as well as potential new recruits.

Following a successful 2023/24 campaign which included a top 10 finish, our highest ever points total in National League South and a run to the First Round of the FA Cup, several players are already contracted, or have committed to the club for the 2024/25 season – these are Dan Bayliss, Josh Jackman, Leon Chambers-Parillon, David Ogbonna and Slavi Spasov, as well as Scott Davies himself. We will confirm others as and when terms are agreed for the new season.

It is natural that many of our players will have caught the eye of other clubs and particularly for those who are younger and ambitious, the lure of full time football, or stepping up to National League level will be too much to turn down, despite the progress we are making as a club on and off the field with the security of a long term lease at Arbour Park.

Supporters will be aware that Temi Eweka has left the club in order to join a full time professional club which is also nearer to his home. We can also confirm that Tyrese Dyce has decided to leave the club. Scott Davies commented: “Tyrese informed us that he will be departing, and signed for a club in the National League at the weekend.

“From coming into the squad as a trialist last summer, he found a regular starting place in the team until his season was cut short by injury.

“We all thank Tyrese for what he’s given us during his time at the club and wish him well in the future.”

Membership sales for 2024/25 have started very positively, and we encourage supporters to renew or purchase their new memberships by the end of May to benefit from our ‘early bird’ discounts.

We look forward to welcoming our supporters to the fans forum at Arbour Park on Wednesday evening where there will be a chance to put questions to Scott and members of the board.
