We are delighted to confirm that three of the club’s brightest Academy prospects – Aaron White, Brian Nelson, and Nnaemeka Anyanwu – have signed first team contracts ahead of the 2025/26 season.

All three players have progressed through the Rebels’ Elite Development Squad (EDS) and have been rewarded for their dedication and performances with one-year deals.

EDS Head Coach Ryan Case praised the trio’s attitude and development, saying:

“I’m incredibly proud to see Aaron, Brian, and Nnaemeka earn their first team contracts. They’ve each shown real hunger, discipline, and quality throughout their time in the EDS. Moving them into the first team squad is not just a reward for their hard work, but it’s a reflection of the belief we have in their potential to contribute at the next level.”

Central defender Aaron White, 19, featured twice for the Rebels last season, making his debut in a thrilling 3-2 victory at Chesham United before playing in our 1-0 win over Hampton & Richmond on the final day.

Midfielder Brian Nelson, 18, made four first team appearances in 2024/25. His full debut came in December’s Berks & Bucks FA Senior Cup tie at Hungerford Town, and he went on to play in league matches against Boreham Wood, Chesham, and Hampton & Richmond.

Nnaemeka Anyanwu, 19, a dynamic left winger, made his full debut away at Torquay United and later came off the bench against Boreham Wood. He also impressed during a loan spell at Northwood, where he picked up the club’s Goal of the Season award for a spectacular long-range strike.

They join fellow EDS graduate Balu Makumbi in committing their futures to the club. The 19-year-old central defender, who serves as EDS vice-captain, signed a contract until the end of the 2025/26 season earlier this year. Like Nelson, Makumbi made his debut in the Senior Cup tie at Hungerford and has also benefitted from regular senior football on dual registration with Northwood.

This latest round of signings continues the club’s strong commitment to developing and promoting home-grown talent, with the pathway from academy to first team clearly defined and thriving.

Everyone at Slough Town congratulates Aaron, Brian, and Nnaemeka on their new deals and looks forward to seeing them continue their development in the first team environment.
