Community Team end of season update

An end of season update on our Community Teams, with both squads having an excellent season.

09/06/25

It’s been a fantastic season for our Community Teams, with both squads showing remarkable growth, determination, and passion throughout the campaign.

Our Premiership side, managed by Peter Slade and Ed Lilley, enjoyed an outstanding season, finishing in a well-earned 3rd place. The team not only took points off the eventual league champions, but also played some of the most exciting football we've seen all year. With quick, incisive passing and a rock-solid defence, they proved to be a formidable force in every match.

Meanwhile, our League 2 team, led by Mandy Butler, went into the final matchday with a chance to lift the title. Although they ultimately finished 4th, they ended the final tournament unbeaten — a fantastic achievement and a true reflection of their resilience, teamwork, and determination.

Both squads have developed immensely over the course of the season, with players consistently stepping up and delivering top-quality performances on the pitch.

As we now head into a well-deserved summer break — with perhaps an 11-a-side friendly or two to keep us sharp — we’re already looking ahead to the return of league action in the South East Pan Disability League (11-a-side) and the BOBi League (7-a-side).

A huge well done to everyone involved — players, coaches, and the families and supporters cheering us on — for making this such a successful and enjoyable season!
