Slough Town Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of experienced centre-back Reiss Greenidge.

The 28-year-old defender arrives at Arbour Park following his departure from Maidstone United, bringing with him a wealth of experience across the English game, European football, and the international stage with Guyana, for whom he has earned 11 caps.

Standing at 6ft 6in, Greenidge is known for his powerful physical presence, aerial dominance, and athleticism — attributes which have made him a standout performer throughout a career that has included spells in the EFL, National League and Norway’s top two divisions.

Reiss began his career in the academies of Arsenal and West Bromwich Albion, before gaining senior experience at clubs including Ebbsfleet United, Hemel Hempstead Town, and in Norway with Sogndal and Arendal. He returned to England with Bolton Wanderers in 2020 and was part of their promotion-winning squad from League Two, before going on to feature regularly during a season-long loan at Barnet.

Greenidge joined Maidstone United in October 2022 and became an integral part of their squad. He featured 36 times last season, including all three play-off matches as Maidstone reached the National League South Play-Off Final, narrowly losing to Boreham Wood. During the club’s famous 2023/24 FA Cup run, Greenidge played the entire match in the 1-0 Third Round win against Stevenage, and made a substitute appearance in the stunning 2-1 Fourth Round victory away at Ipswich Town — a moment that captured national attention. He also helped Maidstone lift the Kent Senior Cup in 2024.

On the international stage, Reiss made his debut for Guyana in 2021 and has gone on to represent the national team on 11 occasions, most recently the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup qualification matches.

Greenidge now links up with his younger brother, Jordan at Slough Town as both prepare for the 2025/26 campaign.

Manager Scott Davies commented:

“Getting Reiss over the line is a massive plus. He had a fantastic season with Maidstone United in 2024/25, where he played a huge part in their charge to the play-off final.

“Having another left-footed player in the back line adds real balance and will prove to be good competition for the defensive players in our squad.

“I know that Reiss and Jordan will be playing together for the first time, so that makes it all a little bit extra special — and I’m looking forward to witnessing it.”

Welcome to the Rebels, Reiss!
