While most Slough Town fans have their sights set on our first home game of the season on Saturday 16 August, some brave souls will be pulling on their boots a little earlier — and not just for the warm-up.
Before we face Hemel Hempstead Town, Arbour Park will play host to a special charity football match with a twist. Popular YouTuber and Football Manager maestro WhyCallum is assembling a squad of fellow Football Manager Content Creators to take on a team of die-hard Rebels supporters — the Slough Town Barmy Army — all in support of mental health charity MIND.
The match kicks off at 11:30am, with gates opening from 10am. Entry is by £10 donation, with all proceeds going to MIND. Bars will be open, food will be available, and the club shop will also be trading throughout the day.
Adding a bit more spice to the occasion, WhyCallum puts his unbeaten virtual Slough Town managerial record to the test in real life — going head-to-head with Slough’s manager, Scott — McNeish, not Davies — in what promises to be a chaotic, rule-bending, and thoroughly entertaining encounter.
We're also delighted to announce that the match is sponsored by our partners, FCVideo, who will be streaming the action live for anyone unable to attend in person.
Expect drama, comedy, and plenty of heart — and don’t miss the chance to watch our fans put it all on the line for a fantastic cause.
