The Football Association have today released league allocations for Steps 1 to 4 for season 2014/15.

Following their promotion as a result of the 3-2 win over Kettering Town in the Southern League Division One Central play-off final, Slough Town have been placed in the Southern League Premier Division.

The 24 clubs which will compete in the Southern League Premier Division, subject to any subsequent appeals, are listed below. Unless otherwise specified, the clubs competed in the same league in the 2013/14 season. There are seven new clubs joining the league.

The Rebels will resume battle with local rivals Burnham and Chesham, whilst other opponents from recent seasons in the Southern League Division One Central and South & West leagues include Arlesey Town, Biggleswade Town, Dunstable Town, St Neots Town and Hitchin Town.

Slough will also have long journeys to Cornwall and Devon to face Truro City and Bideford respectively, and also Frome Town in northeast Somerset. The Rebels have faced Bideford just once in their history, an FA Cup tie in 1982, which Slough won 7-1. Slough have faced Truro City twice, in the 2008/09 season, losing 2-1 in Cornwall and gaining a creditable 3-3 draw in the return game at Holloways Park. The Rebels also played, and beat, Frome Town in an FA Cup tie in 1982, but the Somerset side won the only other meeting between the two sides to date, a Red Insure Cup tie in March 2013.

Dorchester Town and Histon join the league having been relegated from Conference South and North respectively, whilst Halesowen Town move across as champions of the Northern Premier League, Division One South.
