These teams, who tried conclusions the previous week in the Amateur Cup, again met at Aylesbury on Saturday, in the allied counties cup competition, in which Aylesbury made their first appearance.
A fairly numerous company of spectators attended, and were rewarded by witnessing a hard fought game, in which Aylesbury came out best, winning by three goals, scored by Turnham, Cowley, and Birtchnell, to love.
Slough, however, had almost as much of the game as their opponents, and were very unlucky in being defeated by three goals, which were scored in the space of nine minutes, despite some fine goalkeeping by Vaughan (Windsor), J. Robey (Royal Horse Guards) and A. Summersby also played well for the losers.
