Local Derby. Second against top. The game was setup perfectly for a big boxing day crowd and it didn't disappoint.
Slough took a deserved first half lead in fortuitous circumstances as Steve Sinclair crossed from the right and the ball dropped inside the far post. The lead was extended when Danny Burnell converted a penalty after a handball shout.
Despite the dismissal of Stuart Swift in the second half following retaliating after being stamped on, Slough continued to look dangerous on the counter. SYCOB were unfortunate not to get on the scoresheet though hitting the bar twice and seeing a penalty saved which could have made the closing moments much more tense for the massed visiting support.
