Premier Midweek FL
The few spectators who braved the cold of Monday evening to visit the Slough Town versus Hampton Premier Mid-Week Floodlight League game at the stadium must have been disappointed with the fare provided. Slough threw away a point in a game which was dull from start to finish.

Slough had Hyde in goal and also included Churchill and Jamieson with Reardon a spectator. Hampton came with a good reputation as Athenian League division two front runners but could hardly be expected to hold the Town at the stadium.

Slough went ahead after five minutes when Chatterton scored and this was one of the few highlights of the first half. In the second session the football went from bad to worse with Slough sliding right down to the level of their opponents. Slough missed a lot of chances but in the 51st minute Minor headed a well-taken equalising goal for Hampton.

The nearest Slough got to winning the game was in the 87th minute when Day hit the crossbar with a shot which really was a sizzler. Many spectators had gone home long before the final whistle.
