A brace by Ansil Bushay allowed the Rebels to rush neighbours Chesham, despite playing an hour with only ten men.

This should always have been a comfortable game for Slough as they continue to press towards promotion while Chesham languish at the bottom of the table, flirting with relegation.

It was the visitors, however, who settled first, but a couple of attacks petered out through wild passing and even wilder shooting.

Slough soon found their feet, stroking the ball around and it was quickly apparent which was the more polished side as they started mounting regular forays into Chesham's territory.

The visitors' attempts at an offside trap were quickly beaten, particularly by Bushay, and it was one of his runs down the middle which produced the first goal. Bunting had punted the ball well down the field by way of a clearance, and Bushay was off like a greyhound. Three yards short of the box he met thc ball, controlled it with a single touch, and then popped it over the 'keepers head and into the net.

From this point Chesham looked very unlikely to get back into the game, despite Stone's attempt to even things up by getting himself sent off. On the half hour mark a challenge for a fifty-fifty ball with Milton saw both players entangled on the deck, and as Stone extracted himself he couldn't resist lashing out, hitting the United man in the face. The referee was all of four yards away and reached straight for the red card.

They adapted quickly to their ten man situation, and soon a head count was the only way to tell they were a man down. Bushay and Sayer were stilt able to find space at the front, and on 40 minutes the former was free again, breaking from the halfway line. He pushed the ball forward to beat his marker but Andy Hoare was quick to boot it clear from the edge of his area.

There was no mistake two minutes later, Bushay scoring again with a virtual carbon copy of his first goal, finding himself with plenty of room and lobbing the keeper.

As half time approached, Chesham pulled one hack with Gentle heading home from the edge of the area, catching Bunting wrong-footed.

With the change of ends Slough found themselves facing a stiffening breeze which stopped any high halls dead. Chesham, on the other hand, found they were now able to knock the ball in the air and the wind would take it into the Slough area, yet they still looked unlikely to level the scores.

Six minutes into the half Baron put Slough 3-1 up, forcing the ball in from six yards out, bludgeoning past a defender and the keeper, using more force than finesse.

The gap was back to a single goal after 63 minutes, Gentle scoring after a kick in found him free on far side, and again Bunting was wrong-footed, but the goal was very much against the run of play.

Sayer floated a kick in over to the far post, where Lay was waiting to connect and beat the keeper comfortably, on 87 minutes.

As the game went into injury time Sayer got a well-deserved mention on the score-sheet, blasting home from close range on the rebound from the 'keeper, who had done well to save Leo's first shot.
