Two goals from striker Neville Roach helped Slough Town to a comfortable three-nil victory over Bromley.

It took a while for the home side to settle but on seventeen minutes they took the lead when a Kieran Gallagher cross was prodded into the net by Roach at the far post. They could have doubled that advantage soon after when Roach again cut in from the right and fired just wide of Steven Windegaard's far post

Steve Browne's men did go two-goals ahead just a minute after half-time when Roach again eased past Michael Harney and shot into the net past Windegaard at his near post. The Rebels sat back and Bromley began to create a few chances of their own.

The Raven's first chance fell to former Carshalton midfielder Gary Drewett. His shot from the edge of the area clipped the top of the bar with Dominique Jean-Zepherin beaten. Minutes later they could have pulled a goal back with their best chance of the match when John Wilfort found himself with space in the area. The experienced midfielder blazed his effort well-over the bar when he should have done a lot better.

Bromley were left to rue that miss because on seventy-four minutes Slough put the game beyond their reach when Keith McPherson converted a Michael Gilkes corner. Slough introduced Sammy Winston and Clement James shortly after the third goal. Their pace and power helped the Rebels create several more chances, but those chances were not taken. It did not matter however as the Rebels ran out comfortable winner in the end.
