League
Slough scored five goals for the second time in six days, bringing the week's total to 12 with this champions display at Erith, one of four teams to beat Slough in the League this season and a team with quite an impressive defensive record.
Slough were not in the mood to suffer as they did at Erith in November and raced into a fifth-minute lead when Anthony latched on to a bad back-pass, to give the keeper no chance.
11 minutes after it was 2-0 when Reid headed home a Roger Day corner. One minute before half time Hornchurch got in to the scoring act but at the wrong end when Chambers headed into his own net from a Geoff Anthony cross.
Slough restarted at subdued pace and, although well in command, did not look like scoring again, but all this changed midway through the half when the supporters were treated to three in four minutes, the first came in the 75th when Watts brought down O'Sullivan in the area and Day made no mistake with the penalty.
Two minutes later Gibbs pulled one back for the visitors to make it 4-1. but within a further two minutes Chatterton scored a fine goal to complete the scoring.
